The Judy Center will be joined by Abrakadoodle on November 11th for Fantastic Friday. Children and caregivers will create art in a teacher-led group. Come get creative and have a fantastic Friday!
Interested in building a better financial foundation or career prospects? The Judy Center is a proud partner in the Getting Ahead Workshop program. Work with other participants in small groups led by a trained facilitator and learn how to achieve financial stability and the future you want for your family. Not ready to rejoin us inside The Judy Center? No problem! We have a virtual "story time" group on most Fridays for kids 0-5 and their caregivers. Participants will meet virtually to sing, dance, listen to stories, and more. See the calendar for exact dates and times. Zoom link will be emailed out the day before.
Don't have the time to commit to one of our cohort playgroups? That's ok! We have 2 playgroups Mondays and Let's Move on 3 Tuesdays a month, and we would love for you to join us. Playgroups are drop-in and age grouped. Monday groups are indoor and focus on learning through play. Let's Move is an outdoor playgroup (weather permitting) where we focus on moving our bodies and working together. Contact The Judy Center for details.
Our new age-differentiated playrgoups are up and running! There are 4 groups that meet every Wednesday and Thursday. If you are interested in joining one of the age cohorts with your child, all groups have at least one space available. A commitment of attending at least 3x per month is required. This year we have revamped the playgroups that are offered at the Judy Center. We will continue to offer drop-in playgroups, but will now have more formal cohorted playgroups. All of the playgroups we will offer this year are designed around the Maryland Early Learning Standards.
The cohorted playgroups will be on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays this year. There will be four playgroups with specific age ranges. The cohorted playgroups are designed to build upon each other. Each year your child will progress through to the next playgroup and take the skills they have learned with them. A commitment of attending at least 3 times a month is required. Registration for these playgroups is required. If you feel you cannot commit to attending 3 times a month then please join us for one of our drop-in playgroups.
The drop-in playgroups are on Mondays and Tuesdays. These playgroups are less formal than our cohorted playgroups and do not require registration. Registration for these is optional. We are continuing with Read for Health and Let’s Move this year, but have added two other drop-in playgroups. Little Learners will be for children ages 2-3 and Learning Together will be for children ages 3-4.
As well as our in-person drop-in playgroups we will be offering a virtual option for families, Virtual Story Time is for children and families to enjoy a song and story. This is intended for children ages 2-4.

Have an incoming kindergartener at Cradlerock ES? Come meet new friends, some of the teachers and staff, and have popsicles on the playground with The Judy Center! Two sessions will be held, one in July and one in August. Please see the calendar for the dates and times. It's a great way to meet other families, get some play time on the playground, and get excited about kindergarten!
Schools may be closing but here at The Judy Center we will still be playing, dancing, and learning! We will have playgroups for children ages 1-2 and 3-5, Read for Health groups, special events, and more! Keep an eye out for the newsletter for how to sign up and all the details on when and where we will be meeting.
Our final Let's Move of the school year will be Tuesday, June 14th. We will be splashing and having fun with water games, so dress to get wet and be ready to move and play!
